DMSE Sponsors Youth from Lawrence Massachusetts YMCA to Run Feaster Five Road Race
In conjunction with the Merrimack Valley Striders, DMSE sponsored runners from the Lawrence YMCA’s Marathon Achievers Club, funding their entries into the Feaster Five Road Race. Each runner also received a new pair of New Balance running shoes. These runners spent Thanksgiving morning in the rainy weather running this 5K road race.
In addition, The DMSE Foundation will be providing fitness and nutrition seminars to the runners and their families as part of this Community Partnership Project.
“The running program for the Teen Achievers at the Lawrence YMCA got off to a successful start thanks to the contributions of The DMSE Children’s Fitness Foundation and the Merrimack Valley Striders. Thanks to their assistance, seven Lawrence youngsters were able to run in the Feaster Five, their first road race. It was a wonderful experience for the young people to be able to set a goal and work to attain it in such a great and supportive atmosphere as the Feaster Five.” Anne Lynch, Lawrence YMCA
“My son Aaron enjoyed the Feaster Five. To his surprise he finished the three mile course in less time than he thought he would. He looks forward to taking part in future races.” Rachel Cerull
